Change Orders

Overview

Changes on orders are inevitable. The ability is needed to make changes on an order a relay those changes to the factory in a clear, concise manner. OASIS, in Change mode, allows you make changes to any part of the order and the print to the factory will show those changes clearly and print, in "text" those changes automatically so it is clear what is different. a copy of the change order will also show in the Attachments tab.

Steps

  • Open an existing order that has been sent to the manufacturer
  • Select “Make Changes”
  • Type over the fields that need to change
  • Print

Open an existing order that has been sent to the manufacturer

Select the PO as before. The PO listing application is being rewritten, but the features will be very similar.

Select “Make Changes”

Type over the fields that need to change

The order is now in Change mode.

  • All fields are open to making changes

 

In this example, we need to change the “TRFF-00-A” part to a “TRFF-0-A-P10” and change the price from $35.00 to $50.00.

Simply type over existing entries with changes. NOTE – the cell turns yellow indicate a change is made

We can also add new lines to the Order by clicking “[Add Item]” below the last line on the BOM.

When a new blank line appears, add the new item.

In this example we added a quantity of 5, type F, part# BLB-100-12 at a price of $3.00 

If canceling a line-

  • DO NOT DELETE A LINE ON A CHANGE ORDER (this could have unexpected results)
  • In the Qty column for the line “zero” the quantity
  • This will effectively cancel the items.

If canceling the remaining quantities on a line

  • On the line, make the “Qty” column match the quantity in the “Rel” (Release) column.
  • This will effectively cancel the remaining items. (and will be shown on the printed Change order)

If adding additional lines

  • Click “(Add Item)” below the last line on the BOM and add additional items on the blank line(s)

NOTE- When OASIS prints any changes will be reflected on the order print with a recap of the changes and additions made in the Notes area.

Once changes are complete, click Print.

If selecting Print Preview or Send Message, OASIS gives you a preview of the Change Order before sending.

 

Notes Tab

Don't forget to type in the change order notes that you have for the order.  The Notes tab will be blank for change orders as a default.
If you already had notes in the change order that you are wanting to keep included you can do so by clicking on the "Recall Previous Notes" link at the bottom on the screen.
 

Printing

If selecting Print Preview or Send Message, OASIS gives you a preview of the Change Order before sending.

 

 The “live” print of the Change Order – example below

  • This form clearly indicates there have been changes made to the original order.
  • Added line(s) will show first, followed by changed lines.
  • For the changed lines the original line will show “Current line” followed by what the lines was changed to.
  • OASIS also calculates the changes in price and earnings, if any.
  • It also Recaps the change and additions in writing at the bottom of the order (in red)
