Opportunity Tile

Overview

The Opportunity Tile tracks project opportunities for outside sales. The tile may be setup to just track the projects based on a number of settings. Additionally the tile may be setup to either email or text someone when activity is detected on a project.

Setup

  • Tile's Display Name - Title to show in the actual tile
  • Tile location - Which application to show the tile in (just use "Home" for now)
  • Who Should See This Tile and Receive Alerts (Email/Text) - everyone listed will see the tile. Additionally, every time an alert is generated, each user will receive the alert email or text.
  • Notification Details
    • Select quotes for - the sales selected sales accounts. Jobs will be selected matching whether the individual is on the following areas:
      • Sales accounts on the general tab
      • Assigned a specifier on the general tab
      • The sales person is assigned to the specifier that is selected on the general tab
      • The sales person is assigned to the customer on the customers tab
      • The sales person is assigned to the contractor (2nd level customer) on the customers tab
    • Bid Date Month Window - only select jobs within the selected window. A 6 month window selects all quotes that bid 6 months ago to today AND all quotes assigned a future bid date
    • Add bid board action:
      • Ignore - do nothing
      • Show on the opportunity detail
      • Batch email and show - send a group email after hours with similar quotes and show on the opportunity detail
      • Single bid alert and show - immediately create a bid alert for the job and email. Also show on the opportunity detail
      • Text and show - Send a text with a link to the job and show on the opportunity detail
    • Important Project action - works the same as the bid board action. The important project check box is full manual where the bid board does guide quoters to add the project to the bid board while quoting. The bid board also cleans itself up by removing jobs after a number of days (global setting).
    • Action to take when customer is added or the state is changed to - each configured quote state is listed with the following options:
      • Ignore - do nothing
      • Enter Status - the project is changed to the status
      • Add my customer - "my" customer is added and the project is in the status
      • Actions include:
        • Show on the opportunity detail
        • Batch email and show - send a group email after hours with similar quotes and show on the opportunity detail
        • Single bid alert and show - immediately create a bid alert for the job and email. Also show on the opportunity detail
        • Text and show - Send a text with a link to the job and show on the opportunity detail

Timing

The opportunity tile will refresh every 15 minutes. Shown in the tile or detail page will be the "snap shot" of the opportunities at the time the tile last updated

Tile View

The tile view only shows the update date and the number of projects in the opportunity listing.

Detail Page

Clicking on the tile will show the detail page.

The projects are grouped by the following:

  • Bid Board
  • Important Project
  • And a section for each quote status that is not ignored.

At the top of the screen, the following menus may be used to alter the selection of the projects

  • Customer - each of "my" customers on the selected jobs is shown. Selecting a customer will refresh the page with only jobs pertaining to that customer. The project will also show the value of the quote for that customer.
  • Rank - each configured rank is provided as a menu option. Selecting a rank will select only those projects with the related rank. Customer and Rank may be selected together.
  • Sort - the listing may be sorted by project name or project value - descending

Clicking on the project name will show the project sales view:
