Applying a script file to OASIS

******WARNING!!! POSSIBLE DATABASE CORRUPTION WARNING!!!*****

MAKING UNAUTHORIZED CHANGES TO THE OASIS DATABASE COULD RESULT IN CORRUPTION OF THE DATABASE.
By taking the following actions, you do so at your own risk, and INGEN Software is not liable for any resulting errors.

PLEASE CONTACT OASIS SUPPORT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS PROCESS OR THE FILE THAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO APPLY TO THE DATABASE.

Do not take the following steps unless you are sure of the modifications of the file that you are running.  Also, running custom script files more than once could result in damage to your database.

NEVER run a script file past the date that it was given and intended to be applied to your database.

Now that we are past the scary and necessary warnings to be very sure you are ready to apply the file's changes to the OASIS database, please follow the steps below.

It is recommended to run scripts at a time when everyone is out of the OASIS program, and then log into the program to run the file.
Avoiding this process may result in the script taking a longer than expected time to apply the changes to the database.  Contact OASIS Support for more information on the particular file that you are running

  1. Save this script file to the Desktop on the server.  (the file may have a .sql or .txt extension)
  2. Go to Configuration
  3. Click on Software
  4. click Run SQL.
  5. Click the "..." button to browse to the desktop location (Hint: clicking on the house icon is a shortcut to the local desktop)
  6. Select the script file.
  7. Click OK to run the script.
  8. You should get a message that says "Query ran without error".
