File

Menu Item Purpose/Action
Save Saves the customer entry.
Print Show print options.
Close Closes the customer editor.

 

Tabs

General

Buttons Purpose/Actions
Customer Name Name of customer.
Customer ID

Short name of customer - this will be the code that appears on quotes and other documents.

(Internal Customer ID)

(Shown as "ABC" in the image). This is the original ID of the customer. If the customer ID changes, internally the old ID id retained.
Parent Company Set to the parent company for the customer.
Active

Customers may be:

  • Active - may be added to transactions
  • Inactive - may not be added to transactions
  • Parent (shown) - may be added to transactions, but accounting and reporting may group "children" as needed.
  • Parent - may not be added to transactions, but accounting and reporting may group "children" as needed".
OutOfTerritory Customer is out of territory. The entry is for reporting only and the transaction will not be tracked for missed shipments.
Send Designates the format in which data is to be transmitted to the customer.
Customer Type Designates the role of the customer.
CustomerRank Designates the rank of the customer.
Assigned To Selects who the customer is assigned to.
Adds alternate names for the customer.
Adds the alternate roles of the customer.
Opens a file explorer window to add customer logo.
Deletes the current customer logo.
Slides from left to right to change the zoom of the customer logo.

Contact Information

Buttons Purpose/Actions
Opens the city, state, zip matching window
Opens the address book
Sold To For reporting.
Ship To For reporting and shipping.
Bill To For reporting and billing.
Phone, Email, and other Numbers

Important "Kinds":

  • Phone - prints on orders.
  • FAX - prints on orders.
  • WWW * - begin any kind with "WWW" and the WWW button in quotes, orders, and other transactions will show the listing of websites for customer.

Contacts

Buttons Purpose/Actions
Opens the quick contact entry window.
Opens the quick contact search window.
Adds a new contact by creating another row on the screen.
Opens the contact editor screen for the selected contact.
Deletes the selected contact.
Table preferences - add, remove or retain the size of the columns for this tab.
Fields Purpose/Action
CSR When checked, the contact will be automatically added to documentation associated with orders when emailing from OASIS.
Accounting When checked, the contact will be automatically added to documentation associated with invoices when emailing from OASIS.
Last Contact's last name.
First Contact's first name.
Department Free form department name.
Position Free form position name.
Phone Phone number from contact.
Mobile Contact's mobile phone number.
Ext Contact's extension for phone above.
FAX Contact's fax number.
Email Contact's email address.
Web User User name for access to the OASIS Customer Portal
Web Pass User password for access to the OASIS Customer Portal
Pass Expires When the user account for the OASIS Customer Portal expires.

Buttons Purpose/Actions
Adds a new tax account 
Deletes the selected tax account
CreditHold

Set to one of the following:

  • None
  • Hold - Warning: displays a warning when customer is  used
  • Hold - Stop: prevents customer from being used
ResellOk Customer orders (resell) may be created for the customer.
TaxStatus

Sets the tax status of the customer to:

  • Unknown 
  • Taxable
  • Exempt
Federal Tax ID The customer's federal tax ID
Account Tax account assigned to the customer (not required for Taxes 2)
Exempt Lic Exemption license (sales license number)
% of Sale Percent of sale to tax the customer. Set by the related tax account.
Tax Freight Whether or not freight is taxed.

Accounts

 

Buttons/Field Purpose/Action
Allows user to Add an account.
Removes an added account.
Manufacturer Manufacturer ID (short code).
Name Manufacturer name.
Account Manufacturer account for the customer (required by some manufacturer connectivity specialization modules).
Level

Pricing level to use:

  • -1 - Use the order path to select price for item
  • 0 - Use the book price to select price.
  • 1-15 - Selected price level.
Program Stocking program name
Quote Quote number to use with the manufacturer when sending orders
Sales Assigned sales person for the account
Stocking Is this a stocking distributor for the related manufacturer?
Allowance Freight allowance mode:
  • None - no freight allowance (always prepaid and add)
  • Weight - freight is allowed based on min weight
  • Amount and Weight - freight is allowed based on min sales amount or weight
  • NET Amount - freight is allowed based on min cost (or sell less overage)
  • SELL Amount - freight is allowed based on min customer sell price.
Amount Freight allowed if over this dollar amount.
Weight Freight allowed if over this weight.

Check box Gives Selected customer Web Access
Customer Name of the customer
Web View Click to allow the customer's customer to access orders from the OASIS Customer Portal (e.g. a contractor is allowed to view the shipping status for a distributor's order. No pricing.)

Workgroups

 

Buttons Purpose/Action
Workgroup Name of the workgroup.
Access Allows user to select which workgroup this Customer has access to.

Goals

 

Buttons Purpose/Action
Deletes Selected Goal.
Prints Selected Goal.
Name Name of the goal.
Start Starting date for the transaction.
End Ending date for the transaction.
Account ID Restrict to a sales account.
MFG Restrict to a manufacturer ID.
Customer Restrict to a customer ID.
Track When checked, all "tracked" goals may be easily printed from the goals report. (The goals report allows for one, all or tracked goals to be printed at one time.)

The goal calculation:

  • Booked - booked order not including orders that have been canceled.
  • Invoiced - total of invoices matching the goal
  • Invoiced Project - total of invoices matching the goal for project orders only
  • Invoiced Non Project - total of invoices matching the goal for non project orders only.
EarnAmount

Goal for sales amount.

SalesAmount

Goal for earned amount.

Description Description of the goal.

(Text Area) Internal note. The note will not show on any external documentation.
