Antivirus Program is preventing OASIS from sending emails

If your not able to send emails from OASIS after installing Redemption, then you might need to ensure the your Anti-Virus program Outlook Add-in installed correctly.  To confirm if you have the Add-in, take the following steps:

  1. Outlook 2007: On the Tools menu, click Trust Center, and then click Add-ins. Outlook 2010/2013: On the File menu, click Options, and then click Add-ins.
  2. View the add-ins and application extensions to see if your Anti-Virus program Outlook Add-in is in one of these categories:
  • Active Application Add-ins:  If you see your Anti-Virus program Outlook Add-in then it is installed correctly.
  • Inactive Application Add-ins:  If you see your Anti-Virus program Outlook Add-in then it is installed but not active.  Select the Add-in type in the Manage box and click Go.  Select the check box for your Anti-Virus program Outlook Add-in and then click OK.

This is a sample screen shot showing Symantec Endpoint Protection Outlook Add-in in the Active category.

If your Anti-Virus program Outlook Add-in is under Disabled Application Add-ins, then it was automatically disabled because it was causing Office programs to crash. You will need to have your Network/IT support reinstall your Anti-Virus Program possibly to repair any files, or you can go to your Anti-Virus program's support website to find alternative methods of repairing files.  Ingen Software, Inc. is not able to support the installation, removal, or repair of non-OASIS software.

If your Anti-Virus program Outlook Add-in is not on any list, then it was not installed when your Anti-Virus program was installed.  You will need to contact your Network/IT support on adjusting your Anti-Virus program installation to allow for this feature.   Ingen Software, Inc. does not recommend downloading the DLLs or EXEs from 3rd party sites as this could put your network and data at risk.  Installing add-ins through the normal Anti-Virus program installation and settings is the preferred method.  Ingen Software, Inc. is not able to support the installation, removal, or repair of non-OASIS software.
