Database Page Size

Database Page Size is how OASIS configures how large your database can be. With each page size there is a limit to the amount of data that can be stored in the database file without it crashing. The Database Page Sizes range as follows:

2048 (2k): Max database size of 500 GB

4096 (4k): Max database size of 1024 GB

8192 (8k): Max database size of 2048 GB

16384 (16k): Max database size of 4096 GB.

You need to contact us prior to hitting theses hard limits so that we can perform an upgrade on your database. Page Size can be checked by selecting Help > Optimize OASIS from any OASIS screen, or from the O4 Home screen select Jobs > Database Health Check.

Below are a few messages that could be displayed on your Optimize Oasis screen in the ASA Version Check section that are related to The Database Page Size:

2048 (2K)

4096 (4K)

8192 (8K)

16384 (16K)

Below is an image of the O4 Database Health Check Screen displaying a page size of 4096 (4k).

There are limitations on the database related to the OS file system format and on the database page size.
