Sending an Agency (Project) RFQ to Juno

Users can send RFQ’s with the following types of requested items.

·      Standard parts (those that can be regularly priced on the JLG system) for which the user needs a reduced price to be competitive for project business. Users enter this type of item as they would normally.

·      A part number description with a request for catalog number assistance.  The user is essentially asking whether a part can be manufactured.  In this instance, the user will have to alter the method they use to enter this type of item so that Juno’s JLG system can accept it.  Examples include:

o   Components

o   Replacement parts (components)

o   Specials

o   Catalog numbers that have not yet been set up in Juno’s system.

*Please see the Special Requirements section at the bottom of this helpsheet for specific instructions.

Juno maintains separate quotes for the basic agent quote and the customer which is used for the order.  When users send a quote to the JLG site without a winning customer selected, Juno considers this an “Agency” quote that corresponds with your agency information.  The agency quote is NOT orderable. OASIS will add a “–NC” (No Customer) to the end of the Juno RFQ number for all agency identified RFQ’s so that they are easily identifiable.  Before creating an order, you must resend the quote with the winning customer selected.  We currently do not revise quotes in Juno’s system so each time an RFQ is sent to the JLG site it will result in a new quote number.

Please note:  Agency quotes cannot be ordered because they are associated with the agency’s sample account.  At some point during the sales process, the user must resend a quote request asking for a customer specific RFQ for the ordering customer.  For help with that process see “Sending the RFQ for a Customer Specific Quote”

1.       Users will enter their OASIS quote in their usual manner.  Location and Specifier information will be included in your quote request to Juno.  The information can be added on the general tab as shown below.

2.    Once the bill of material is completed (including adding any MFG target prices, if desired), select the “Print” button.

3.    Choose the “Print Manufacturer Request for Quotation” as the print type. Select “Next.”

4.  Select all Juno brands listed and choose “Next” (Users who  have Juno parent and child brands set up,  will still have to check all brands showing on the screen to send them on the same RFQ)

5.   Add a Stamp and a message, if desired, for the Juno Quote Representative. Select "Print".

Note:  If you are requesting overage for the quote, please make sure to notate the total overage amount you are expecting for this order in the “Message to Manufacturer” area.  This is the only way Juno would know if you are requesting overage or not.

6.  If target pricing information is not entered, OASIS will ask if the user wants to use the values currently in the Sell column on the quote.  Choose the desired option.

7.  OASIS will ask if the user wants to send directly to the factory.  Choose “Yes.”

9.  Review the presented quote and then choose “Send Now”

10.  Once the RFQ is sent successfully, OASIS will show the RFQ number assigned to the quote in Juno’s JLG system.  If no winning customer is selected, OASIS will add an –NC (No Customer) to the end of the quote number allowing users to quickly see if the quote number in Juno’s system is considered to be an Agency Quote. This quote is NOT orderable and a customer specific RFQ must be requested.  Example below.

11.    Additionally if the RFQ is successfully sent you will see the “Successfully sent transaction to factory message.”

12.  OASIS will store the Juno RFQ number in the MFG Target column in the quote.

Note:  When copying a RFQ to new RFQ in Oasis, the original RFQ would be closed.  If you change the new RFQ information in Oasis, you need to send the new RFQ to Juno again to get an updated RFQ number from Juno.  Once you send the new RFQ, Oasis will update the RFQ line with the new Juno RFQ number.
