Estimated Ship Dates / Lead Times

Overview

There are many shipping tools in OASIS for tracking and reporting. Estimated Ship dates can be automated depending on “lead times” setup in OASIS. Once the lead times are set for both stock and project type orders, they will automatically calculate for an estimated shipping date. Users have the option to expose an estimated ship date to the customer or not. First you will need to setup the manufacturer, and then proceed with the order.

Manufacturer Setup

Each manufacturer must be setup to generate an Estimated Ship Date on an order.

-          Open the manufacturer

-          Click the “Terms” tab, then click the “Freight / Shipping” tab on the right

-          Non Shipping manufacturer – Does this manufacturer entry ship product or not. Example –

-          StockLeadTime – average number of days this manufacturer takes to ship a Stock order

-          ProjectLeadTime – average number of days this manufacturer entry takes to ship a Project type order

-          NOTE – entries are in “calendar days”

After the entries above have been saved, the next order for this manufacturer will automatically calculate an Estimated ship date. This is stored and not shown on the Order screen.
